Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of TakeIt, a medication reminder service delivered via WhatsApp. By subscribing you agree to these Terms. Questions: support@takeit.care
1. The Service ▾
TakeIt sends WhatsApp-based medication reminders at times you choose. Care and Care Plus plans include an optional Guardian feature — a designated contact who is notified if you miss a dose. No app download is required.
2. Eligibility and Minors ▾
The account holder must be 18 or older and agree to these Terms. TakeIt may be used for minors of any age when a parent or legal guardian is the account holder, provides consent, and takes responsibility for the minor's use of the service. By registering a minor's phone number, you represent that you are their parent or legal guardian.
For minors under 13 in the United States, the parent's registration constitutes the verifiable parental consent required under COPPA.
3. Subscriptions, Trial, and Payment ▾
New subscriptions include a 14-day free trial. Your payment method is not charged until the trial ends. One trial per phone number and email address.
Subscriptions are managed and billed by Paddle (Merchant of Record). By subscribing you also agree to Paddle's terms and privacy policy. Fees are charged at your selected frequency (monthly or annual). Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
4. Cancellation and Refunds ▾
Cancel anytime by messaging our bot or emailing support@takeit.care. Access continues until the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled by Paddle per their refund policy; we do not refund partial billing periods unless required by law.
5. Guardian Feature ▾
When you add a Guardian, TakeIt sends them an opt-in invitation via WhatsApp. Guardian alerts are only activated after the Guardian accepts. Guardians may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
By adding a Guardian you confirm you have their permission to share their WhatsApp number with TakeIt for the purpose of sending them an invitation. Guardian alerts are a supplementary tool — not a substitute for professional caregiving or emergency services. Delivery is not guaranteed.
6. WhatsApp Communications, Opt-Out, and Anti-Spam ▾
By subscribing you explicitly consent to receive WhatsApp messages from TakeIt including reminders, onboarding, service notifications, and Guardian-related messages. To stop, cancel your subscription or reply STOP to any TakeIt message.
TakeIt complies with Israel's anti-spam law (Amendment to the Communications Law, 5768-2008) and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act. We send messages only to users who have subscribed and consented. Every outbound message includes an opt-out mechanism.
7. Acceptable Use ▾
You agree not to: use TakeIt unlawfully; provide false information; add a Guardian without their permission to receive an invitation; attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the service.
8. Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnification ▾
Disclaimers: the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted service or exact-time delivery of reminders.
Limitation of liability: to the maximum extent permitted by law, TakeIt shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages including health consequences. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Indemnification: you agree to indemnify TakeIt and its affiliates from claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the service.
9. Governing Law, Changes, and Termination ▾
Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Changes: we may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via WhatsApp and/or email at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Termination: you may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
